A new MSX game, which will be demonstrated on MSXRio - Boxboy, a “Sokoban” style game for MSX1.

The Educom project was an attempt by UFRJ University, dated from 1983, to create on MSX an educational project. However when the project was finished, MSX computers were no longer comercialized in Brazil.

Ricardo Oazem, creator of VDU (Video Display Unit - shown on 2007 MSX-Rio and on 2007 MSX Jaú meetings) just anounced the evolution of his project, which now is called VSU (Video and Sound Unit).
The VSU is made with 2 v9958 together with 2 v9990 (instead of the 4 v9958 from VDU), and it also comes with an OPL4 chip! VSU will be 100% compatible with both GFX9000 and Moonsound!
The VSU prototype will be displayed on MSX Rio this year… just wait and see!

Amusement Factory once more shakes the MSX world, with another convertion from Spectrum: Sim City! Among several news (like the game song that few Spectrum users must know) the game have mouse support - functional even on MSX1!

Another tape to disk conversion, this time Amusement Factory - which some short time ago released the Alteread Beast conversion - now released the Karateka disk version.
This version has several changes, including bugfixes that appeared even in the original ZX Spectrum version!

Amusement Factory, from the well known Daniel Caetano (author of Snatcher translation, Shinobi disk version and Knightmare Gold), releases a new convertion: Alteread Beast!
The game was adapted from tape to disk, which now works both in floppy disks or HDs, besides having some bugs fixed (like the game hanging when finished, or glitches on title screen on some MSX 1), the game have some improvements, like palettes for MSX2 or higher.

Already online, in the “Evidence” section the photos from MSX Rio 2007!
At the meeting was shown for the first time the VDU prototype - a new vídeo for MSX, using 4 MSX2+ VDPs!
Several game prototypes were also previewed, and finalized games were presented, like Jungle Hunt, Montezuma’s Revenge and the not previously announced Transylvania 3 - a text adventure converted from PC toMSX1!
