SymbOS, an orignally CPC OS, is being ported to MSX by it’s author.
Today a preview version was released, and can be found here.
There’s also a huge thread about it on MSX Resource Center about it here where you can talk directly with the author.

[05/13/2006] - Knightmare Gold 2.0 preview |
This saturday Knightmare Gold 2.0 will be released and we had access to this new version to make a small preview.
On this version several changes to the original game were made, from bug fixes presented on first version, to new game modes and graphics even more incremented.
One of the changes is the “easy” mode which can be activated on the starting menu, in which you can be shot up to 4 times before the game ends – and when the player is hit, he start loosing it’s color, showing that you have less lives left.
Another change is on the graphics – now even the boss levels are more colorfull than in first version; scenery are also incremented, making the game much more prettier.
And even the audio tracks on the game were incremented, making the playing experience of Knightmare Gold unique and mandatory for every MSX user.
