If you don’t want to wait for the japanese MSX-on-a-chip, you can get almost all the VHDL source used on the MSX-on-a-chip on several sites on the net: VDP source, Mapper, PSG and SCC sources, FM source, Z80 source and how to build the flash reader.
The only thing missing is the PPI VHDL source…

MSX Association started pre-ordering the One Chip MSX. The estimated price is 19800 iens, which can be changed in the future (accordinly to the site due to taxes, comissions, etc).

Another update on the MSX Association project, posted through the “Ikeda MSX Print” on then msx international list
Looks like the one chip will be compatible with a MSX1 and cost around 19800 ienes (something beetween US$180 and US$190) and will be necessary to reach 5000 pre-orders so it can be manufactured. The specifications:
- PS/2 port (for a keyboard)
- Joystick port
- 1 msx cartridge slot connector
- SD/MMC slot card
- Video port (to TV)
- Ãudio port (to mono speaker)
- FPGA IN/OUT pins
- USB port (for future expansion)
- VGA port (for future expansion)
- Simple case
For now, nothing has been postes oficially on MSX Association website.
Update: Maybe this image shows possible cases for the one chip msx..
